Description | Procurations were payments made to the bishop on his visitation. The main series of lists of procurations survive for certain years from 1791 until the early 20th century. Also in this series are a few letters inhibiting the archdeacons from exercising their powers during episcopal visitation, 1730-1853, and some visitation correspondence of 1865. A 16th century procuration book is among the visitatino books (B/V/1/18).
There are in addition: procurations, fees and related papers, 1633-1770 (Ex D and C B/V/9). |
