TitleAlphabetical register of existing male patients
Datec.1937-1955
DescriptionNote: This register dates from late 1937 for new admissions, but entries have been carried forward for earlier admissions for existing patients, from c.1893. Gives name, date of reception order (from 1937 only), date of admission, age on admission, where chargeable, religion, present status, date of discharge or death, and remarks. The register stopped being used for new patients about March 1955, but contains some notes as to discharge or death up to about 1958, a few to the 1970s [it is not known if such later entries were made systematically]. The last official stamp at the front of the book is February 1955.
Green ink appears to have been used for private patients, and may indicate patients at Coton Hill Asylum.
