Description	Because of the overlap in date, this appears to be a different institution from the Nursing Institution which was in Union Street in 1940. It may have been started for medical patients once the Nursing Institution became a maternity home. St Modwen's Nursing Home is located in Duke Street in the 1940 Kelly's Directory, possibly on part of the site of the Infirmary which is listed as being in New Street.
