Administrative History	The Lichfield Municipal Charities was formed by the amalgamation of various individual charities during the 19th century, a situation formalised by a scheme adopted in 1891 Other small charities were also subsequently incorporated into it.

Description	The first section contains records of the Lichfield Municipal Charities. Subsequent sections contain the records of individual charities, whether incorporated into the Lichfield Municipal Charities before or after the adoption of the 1891 scheme.
