TitleRecords of closed Women's Institutes
DescriptionAn Institute is classified as closed if it has not been revived after a period of three years' suspension. A formal minute of closure is then recorded.
Sometimes an Institute may have re-formed after a gap of some years, in which case the records of the predecessor closed Institute may still be in this series.
An access restriction of 30 years is in place for committee minutes, accounts and membership records, but not for Institute record books of monthly meetings, nor annual reports and annual financial statements, programmes, albums or other memorabilia.
