Description	The documents in this collection are the surviving records of W. Bennett and Co. (Rubber Stamps) Ltd. of Hope Street, Hanley. This company previously incorporated the firm of Kluh, Vaughan of the same address. The company was taken over by Bailey. The company supplied backstamps to many companies , largely but not exclusively in the pottery industry. A master would be made from which rubber or plastic stamps could be made and re-supplied.
