Description | From 1892-1937 the Regent Works was operated by Thomas Morris (It is probable that in 1918 that Herbert J Colclough (former Lord Mayor of Longton) took over the Regent Works and the business continued as Thomas Morris under his ownership). From 1937-1948 the Regent Works was operated by Colclough China Ltd. From 1948-1954 the Regent Works was operated by Booths and Colclough Ltd. From 1955-1964 the Regent Works was operated by Ridgway Potteries Ltd. From 1964-1972 the Regent Works was operated by Allied English Potteries Ltd. (The Regent Works continued to operate as a producer of fine china under the Colclough name). From 1973-2003 the Regent Works was operated by Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd.
