Description	Ted Gray, mentioned in documents in this section and featured in many photographs, was the band Conductor and the Musical Director from 1974. The Royal Doulton Band sponsorship from the company began in 1973 (see SD1705/RD Box 133/11). According to SD 1705/RD Box 133/12 Gray was previously Conductor of The Wigan & District Prize Band (with whom the Royal Doulton Band performed) and was solo cornetist with the Royal Doulton Band. Previously he played with Foden's Motor Works Band (from Brass Aria LP).
