TitleManor of the Chantry of St. Radegund, Lichfield, Staffordshire
DescriptionThis chantry was founded by Hugh de Sotteby in Lichfield Cathedral in 1242, with an endowment of rents in Lichfield, Whittington and Elmhurst, to which were soon added others in the same places and in Longdon. [S.H.C. 1924, nos. 148-166]. A Chantry founded by Robert FitzRobert de Hulton, in St. Michael's Chapel, Lichfield, c. 1273-1278, was joined to the S. Radegund Chantry, possibly in 1443. (See D(W)1734/J2054 dorse, NB. also Cartulary of this Chantry on membranes 128-129).

The property forming the endowment of S. Radegund's chantry was administered as an independent manor.
