TitleManorial
Date1262-1759
DescriptionAt his death in 1605, Edward Sulyard held the Suffolk manors of Haughley, Wetherden, Pulham, Stockhall (alias Wayland near Ipswich) and Stoke near Ipswich, and also Stratford held of the honor of Rayleigh in Essex. In Norfolk he held the manor of Pensthorpe.

Amongst this series of manorial records are papers for various other manors, which may have formed Sulyard property at an earlier date or were administered by the Sulyards as Sheriffs of Norfolk and Suffolk or as stewards.

The accounts and rentals show that each manor seems to have been managed as a separate estate into the 17th century.
