DescriptionThe date range of the photographs is an approximation. The photographs are likely to date between 1941 and 1945 because a booklet entitled 'Community Catering in Stoke on Trent' which is in the Local Government Collection states that Hanley British Restaurant on Glass Street did not open until 13th January 1941 and others followed. This booklet contains photographs by the same photographer (J. Templeman) of some of the British Restaurants in the City. This is a set of photographs which appear to have been taken at a similar time.
