Activity	Photographer, tobacconist, Assistant Overseer for the Poor. McCann family originally from Ireland. Served in the Army and on hist return to England settled in Uttoxeter in about 1860. Sgt Major in local Yeomanry Cavalry and became Assistant Overseer, responsible for collecting poor rates in the town. In 1870 began taking photographic portraits. By 1880 had opened tobacconists shop.
