DescriptionThis series of reports began in 1920. The Chief Constable, G A Anson, used these monthly reports to inform all personnel about police news and the activities of Staffordshire police officers. They include items about appointments, departures and promotions, including appointments of police surgeons; rewards for gallantry; Police Federation matters; sporting activities; and details of some General Orders and legislation re policing. The last 'Monthly Budget' appeared in November 1966 and from that date some of the information it contained is included in the Annual Reports of the Chief Constable.
