Description	Giving personal details such as height, colour of eyes, age, place of origin etc. This register is arranged in a complicated way, in that the series starts again at No 1 halfway through the volume (in 1857), with officers still in service being recorded again with a different number. Some officers were also re-appointed very shortly after a resignation. In addition, appointments of senior ranks are also recorded separately, both at the beginning and halfway through the register. This results in some personnel being recorded two or three times. A complete index to this volume is available at Staffordshire Record Office. [Previously numbered C/PC/1/6/2]
