| Description | These volumes contain copies of out-letters from Lord Dartmouth's agents, Messrs Thynne and Thynne of London, on matters relating to the Sandwell estate. The letters mostly concern the details of estate administration (repairs to property, rent collection, lettings etc.). Some letters refer to the maintenance of Sandwell Hall and its park. There are also some letters about Sandwell Colliery, mostly dealing with royalties due to Lord Dartmouth. They include letters both to Lord Dartmouth and to his tenants. There are also copies of memoranda (containing detailed instructions for estate management) sent by Messrs Thynne and Thynne to local estate officials at Sandwell.
